Ageratum

Ageratum - A soft, fluffy filler flower in shades of blue, purple, and white. It has a mounded growth habit and adds a delicate touch to bouquets.
Amaranth

Amaranth - A bold focal or trailing accent with long, cascading blooms in deep reds, greens, and golds. It has a dramatic draping growth habit, perfect for texture
Anemone

Anemone - A stunning focal flower with silky petals and a dark center. It grows on tall, wiry stems and adds an elegant, romantic feel to arrangements.
Bells of Ireland

Bells of Ireland - A unique, bright green filler with tall spires of bell-shaped blooms. It has a vertical growth habit and adds height and texture. Be careful when picking it as it has prickly thorns but the sweet apple scent makes up for it.
Celosia

Celosia - A striking focal or accent flower with velvety, plume-like or brain-shaped blooms. It thrives in warm weather and brings rich colour and texture.
Dara

Dara - A lacy, delicate filler similar to Queen Anne’s Lace, in shades of pink, purple, and white. It has a branching growth habit and adds softness to bouquets. This flower has really grown on me and adds air to bouquets.
Gomphrena

Gomphrena - A small, globe-shaped filler flower in shades of pink, purple, and white. It has a compact, branching growth habit and dries beautifully. This is a very whimsical flower that I've grown to love.
Peony

Peony - A luxurious focal flower with large, ruffled blooms and a sweet fragrance. It grows on sturdy stems and is a springtime favourite. My goal is to add several peony plants each year.
Rudbeckia

Rudbeckia - A cheerful, daisy-like focal or filler in warm yellows, oranges, and browns. It has a sturdy growth habit and adds a rustic, wildflower feel. This is a beautiful flower especially in fall arrangements.
Sunflower

Sunflower - A bold, sun-loving focal flower with large, golden petals and a dark center. It has a tall, sturdy growth habit and brings warmth and joy. I don't grow many sunflowers but if I do, I really appreciate the branching varities.
Cerinthe

Cerinthe - A whimsical, trailing filler with blue-green foliage and purple bell-shaped flowers. It has a wild, airy growth habit and is great for movement. Bee's absolutely love this greenery.

Delphinium
Delphinium - A tall, spiked focal flower with rich blues, purples, and whites. It grows upright and adds height and elegance to arrangements.
Lisianthus

Lisianthus - A romantic focal flower that resembles a rose, with ruffled petals in soft pastels and deep jewel tones. It has strong, upright stems and a long vase life. These flowers take forever to grow but they are worth it.
Pennycress

Pennycress - A delicate, airy greenery with small, round seedpods. It has a wispy, branching growth habit and adds movement to arrangements.
Scabiosa

Scabiosa - A soft, pincushion-like filler flower in pastel and jewel tones. It has a branching growth habit and provides a whimsical, airy touch. Another favourite of mine, it has fairy tendencies.
Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea - A fragrant, delicate filler with ruffled petals in soft pastel hues. It has a climbing growth habit and adds romance and nostalgia. This is a lovely flower to grow if you have the right spot for it. I like to pick long branches of it and include the tendrils in my arrangements.
Cosmos

Cosmos - A delicate, airy filler with daisy-like blooms in pinks, whites, and deep reds. It has a wispy growth habit and adds a light, natural feel. For the longest vase life this flower should be picked at the cracked bud stage.
Feverfew

Feverfew - A charming, daisy-like filler with tiny white blooms and a mild herbal fragrance. It has a bushy growth habit and adds a fresh, cottage-garden feel. This is one of my favourite flowers.
Dahlia

Dahlia - A show-stopping focal flower with intricate, layered petals in nearly every colour. It grows on sturdy stems and provides lush, dramatic beauty. The ball variety are my absolute favourite.

Foxglove
Foxglove - A dramatic focal flower with tall spikes of bell-shaped blooms. It has an upright, stately growth habit and brings an old-world, fairytale look.
Lupin

Lupin - A tall, spiky focal with densely packed pea-like blooms in a rainbow of colours. It has a strong vertical growth habit and adds structure.
Poppy

Poppy - A vibrant focal flower with delicate, papery petals and a striking center. It has an upright growth habit but a short vase life, making it a fleeting beauty. If you don't pick the flowers you can let the pods form and use them in arrangements or dry them.
Snapdragon

Snapdragon - A vertical focal flower with tall spikes of colourful, ruffled blooms. It has a sturdy, upright growth habit and adds height and structure. This is in my top 5 favourite flowers. Some of the madame butterfly snaps smell divine.
Tulip

Tulip - A classic spring focal flower with smooth, cup-shaped blooms. It has a strong, upright growth habit and a simple, timeless elegance. I am particularly drawn to the double varieties.
Mint

Mint - A fragrant greenery with soft, serrated leaves and a fresh scent. It has a bushy growth habit and adds a touch of wild beauty. This is an aggressive plant and spreads easily. I love to add mint to drinks.
Ranunculus

Ranunculus - A lush focal flower with layers of delicate petals in a range of soft and bold colours. It grows on slender stems but is surprisingly long-lasting in bouquets. This is a tricky little diva to grow but an absolute must.
Strawflower

Strawflower - A papery, long-lasting filler flower that retains its colour even when dried. It has a branching growth habit and a unique, textured appearance. I love brushing my fingers against the papery petals to hear the crinkling.
Zinnia

Zinnia - A bright, cheerful focal flower with layers of bold petals in nearly every colour. It has a bushy growth habit and is a summer staple. I enjoyed growing the new floret introductions especially the precious metals. It's easy to save zinnia seeds.
